Mounted police

I'm just wondering, I've seen more mounted police in Sydenham Road over the past week or so than in the preceding three decades. Is this their response to the recent incidents or just a coincidence?

When I lived in Sydenham I used to quite often see their horse box parked on Mayow Road whilst they exercised the horses in the park.

They are based at Lewisham and I believe they rotate where they take the across the local area. They may also be specifically tasked too - so it could be linked to the murder.

horses have a surprisingly good sense of smell, so they can use them to track scents of suspects.
