Just a warning to people planning to travel through Sydenham tomorrow.
The Lawrie Park Road closure was, this afternoon and without notice, extended into Westwood Hill. Traffic lights/one way working on Westwood Hill operate from Cobbs Corner wobbly roundabout to St Bart's Church. This 'locks' the island on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Monday morning rush hour will presumbly paralyse Kirkdale, Sydenham Road & Westwood Hill.
Avoid if you can.... the good news is Jews Walk has reopened.

This morning, the man looking down the hole dug in Westwood Hill opposite the end of Lawrie Pk Road said that after this mayhem comes to an end Morrisons will be back in Sydenham Road, again with single traffic lights.
With news that Newlands Park is likely to be closed from July 25 (duration unknown at present) it sounds like a fun summer coming up!
