Blue distant hills

With such a small picture, I'm not sure if I'll succeed in sharing this feeling

which is cropped from a view looking south down Sunnydene Road, but my eye is always taken by the distant view, with ranges of hills discernible, and the bluish tinge they acquire. It makes me think of London as existing in a landscape, and one which formerly would have been quite rural.

I also regularly enjoy this view when cycling!

If ever you're over in Anerley, the one looking down Elmers End Road from the "Robin Hood" (or rather, where the Robin Hood used to was before it turned into Aldi :( ) is pretty good on the long-sight muscles, too!
