The Co-op is closed ...

The Co-op is closed this lunchtime. Reports of 'a fire'. No fire engines in attendance though and the building looks untouched.
Lidl is very busy!

Smoke in the Plant Room I was told at 12.30. Two fire engines parked on opposite sides of the road created quite a traffic hold up.

The fire appliances and traffic had disappeared by 12:50 so i guess it is not too serious. I suppose re-opening depends on whether any of the services (electricity, water, comms) have been cut.

I can confirm i bought potato salad and cheesecake from the Co-Op at 8pm and everything tickety boo .
Great fan of the place - really only two supermarket chains needed in the world - Waitrose for little treats and Co-op for life's greaseproof/ washing up liquid and baked bean needs
