Brown Wheelie Bins

Does anyone out there have any info regarding the brown garden wheelie bins that were being trialed last year? Were they a success? Will Lewisham Council be rolling them out areawide? Or will it still be necessary to trek to the library to buy the council-regulation green bags, only to find that the library is closed, because I can never recall its complicated opening times?
