Improving the High Street
Improving the High Street
It is a great pity that Lees original Vibrant High Street post has had to be locked because it descended into something different. In amongst the rest are a lot of good ideas and suggestions. I am going to try over the next few days to pick those out, list them and see if we can move things on more positively from that... do people think that would be helpful . I don't want to waste my time!
Re: Improving the High Street
Pally, I have taken the liberty of adding 'Improving the' to your topic heading.
This is so we don't go down the same road as before. Its ideas of what we can do, or even better doing it. Some ideas may not work, some mistakes have been made and criticisms can be made elsewhere - but let's make this thread look forward.
As such I reserve the right to remove/move anything less than positive posted in this thread.

Re: Improving the High Street
I am hoping that collating the suggestions might lead to some helpful way forward but of course if it descends into anything else I can see why you will wish to remove it!! It would be good to look forward
Re the doing bit, I am still somewhat confused about the route for that .... the connections or links between SEE 3; the Sydenham Society; the Council......?

I fully agree . Some posts are obviously debate points but when something is called " vibrant high street " or " rebuild the greyhound campaign" it is obviously backed by a deal of consensus and not inviting " lets not rebuild the greyhound " type comments .
There is room for anti-threads but lets keep them separate so that those following dont have to wade through .
As for the "how much did that sign cost " type posts I have literally no idea what sort of forum they belong on .
I think most of want to hear good ideas , contribute or simply say well done to others good actions - we have plenty of forum space for banter and sardonic stuff - lets keep this completely positive and encourage and support those precious
" do-ers" amongst us .
A very good evening
