Grow beer!

Post by Tim Lund »

I'm surprised no one has posted about this yet ...

There's an organisation, Grow Beer, with a branch in Crystal Palace, which aims to set up groups for brewing beer locally, looking for both brewers and local hop growers*.
Crystal Palace

Location: Crystal Palace and South East London.

Who: Karolina Walicka and David Rothon

Brewer: Late Knights Brewery

Twitter: @ThePalacePint

As a former hop picker, with wild hops growing over the fence at the bottom of my garden, I'm certainly happy to offer them, but I wonder if they won't want one of the standard varieties - Fuggles has such a lovely name as well ...

* If it's suggested at the next meeting of the Friends of Mayow Park that the cricket pitch be used to grow barley, I'm afraid I will speak against ...

Good idea - the bowels green sounds as if it could be well fertilised.
