Re: FOREST HILL FASHION WEEK IS BACK 18th-20th Sept
Hi All
Firstly we have a few more spaces for stall-holders at the following markets:
Designers & Makers, Sat 20 12.30-6.30 @ Railway Telegraph, 112 Stanstead Rd
Vintage Clothing & Accessories, Sun 21 12-4 @ Twist Studios, 99A Dartmouth Rd
A bit more info about the festival:
This season features designers showcasing their work in local shops, workshops & exhibitions, catwalk shows, markets, family events and “FOHO Fash Jams” hosted by Forest Hill’s pubs & cafés, ending with a grand finale closing concert staged by the Forest Hill Society in the station car park (for more details visit http://fhfw.co.uk/topic/highlights/ and http://fhfw.co.uk/topic/designers/).
Local Forest Hill craft store Stag & Bow is hosting a charity event called Close Knit (http://fhfw.co.uk/closeknit). Starting at 10am on 13 September, a team of volunteers will spend 24 hours arm-knitting as many up-cycled items as possible in an unofficial record attempt. Items will be on sale from 18-21 Sep at Clothes for Causes (95 Dartmouth Road) with all proceeds going to One Girl (http://www.onegirl.org.au/) – a charity supporting the education and empowerment of girls and women in Sierra Leone.

Re: FOREST HILL FASHION WEEK IS BACK 18th-20th Sept
Just a reminder that FHFW kicked off yesterday. There are loads of events over the next few days to tempt Sydenhamites over to 'the other side' including a load of participating Sydenham folk. As well as a ton of workshops, tonight is going to be buzzing with the FOHO Fash Jams, a series of musical events of different genres in venues around SE23.
Tomorrow's highlight will undoubtedly be the Catwalk Shows at the Railway Telegraph on Stanstead Road, where the Designers & Makers Market will also be taking place. Following on from that will be the Wrap Party, featuring jazz band Alice in Grooveland and for ticket holders the exclusive Speakeasy in the basement bar from 10pm. Details here: http://fhfw.co.uk/speakeasy-zoran-peric/
Sunday not only sees the #FHFW Closing Concert (12-4pm), Street Food Market and Children's Clothing Market hosted by the Forest Hill Society, but also the Vintage Clothing & Accessories Market (11am-4pm). And we are super excited to have the brilliant Frockettes singing trio performing for us at 2pm, plus we have vintage hair and make up team Pretty Me Vintage setting up shop there for the day. Stalls include previous pop up shops Flash Trash and Syd's Vintage. And if thats not enough there's the Kid's Catwalk event at the pools.
Hope to see you there!
