Sydenham Predications 2008

Post by sean »

Would this be the first posting of 2008!

Will we have more cafe's in 2008 or will we have more flower displays on the high street?

What does everyone else think will happen in Sydenham during 2008.

I predict a pizza express in the old HSBC bank will open.

I predict someone will do something with the chemist next door (hopefully they will keep the shop front intact).

I predict work will start on the Greyhound in some form.

I predict Lewisham council will conduct more surveys on the high street to find out what they already know wasting more of our money and wont start any work this year.

I predict not a great deal will change on the high street besides one or two signs changing or a small refit of a shop or two.

I predict that Fairlawn Park will start a residents association and may hold a street party, have a street car bay and introduce recomended supplier schemes.

I predict that one or two units may open down at Bell green.

My big prediction is that there will be many rumours about Somerfield in the high street. It may close or get taken over by Tesco...but hopefully M&S or Waitrose in a year or two.

I like the prediction of a Pizza Express in the old bank!

I can predict more pound shops, nail bars and hairdressers

I predict thet Greyhound will remain closed and undeveloped, if it doesn't burn down first.

This might have changed, but worryingly on a business programme over xmas, I heard that Iceland might be buying Somerfield!

Don't forget the 'jam circus' new building where the old station building used to be.
