Recommended Solicitor (Wills)
Any recommendation for a local solicitor to draw up a will?
Re: Recommended Solicitor (Wills)
If you want a very simple will drawn up, stick a pin in the phone book as the "basic fixed fee" will service will be much the same whoever provides it IMO. They'll assume you know exactly what you want.
If you need tax/inheritance planning (e.g. whose name[s] to put your assets in and when as tax rules are complex) in the event of one or other going first, appointing independent trustee[s] or guardians for children, try having a word with Susan Midha who specialises in that. I worked as a temp for a short while when she had a practice in Keston (she's now up town). She won't be cheap though http://adamsandremers.com/people/people/susan-midha/ Also, there's a fair chance you'll want to update your will when new rules come in or your circumstances change.
The problem with wills is that you won't know how good it is until it's put to the test

Right now I'm thinking pretty basic. Unfortunately I don't think I have a physical phone book so I'll try the Google equivalent!mosy wrote:If you want a very simple will drawn up, stick a pin in the phone book as the "basic fixed fee" will service will be much the same whoever provides it IMO. Re: Recommended Solicitor (Wills)
you can get a very basic will from WH Smith, here for a £15.99, and then do it yourself.
Re: Recommended Solicitor (Wills)
Be very wary of doing it yourself. One wrong move and the whole thing becomes invalid.
Suggest you contact willwriter . Normally a lot cheaper than Solicitors and usually very knowledgable.
