We played tennis in the park while watching sydenham burn.....
Had a freezing cold shower- not recommended.
Then prematurely ate all the contents of our freezer on a BBQ b4 the power came back on.
T'was fun.

Did anybody notice 4 military jet fighters flying on their side low over sydenham on the afternoon of the great fire of sydenham?
If so, what was it all about?
What with the fire and smoke. it was like being in a war zone when those jets buzzed us at 500 ft!!

Any news on when the barriers are being installed?

As i'm sure many of you are aware, the entrance to Sydenham station platform 2 has been enlarged to presumably accomodate barriers.

Take a drive around Sydenham and you'll cover it all in 20 mins. Find the area/ street you like the vibe of, try to avoid "social housing" areas and try to keep 10 mins walk from the station. They do deliveries too.Quite cheap.

Sydenham High Street is probably the worst looking run down "urban" high street in the whole area. Gentrification has crept from Lordship to Honoar Oak,Forest Hill,Crystal Palace and Gypsy Hill but stops at SE26.
