Can we have more trees up Kirkdale near the Woodman? Sorry for being a reverse NIMBY but we are tree starved up here. I work full time so can only offer weekend/evenings but happy to help if It's any use.

Re: Sydenham Farmers Market
Sundays would be good because we already have the Horniman and CP Markets on Sat. Is it possible to do stalls and things in front of/at the side of the Greyhound? Much more visibility and there's lots of space there.

Re: Food and drink venues in Sydenham
I love Hibagon. I'd rate it one of the best restaurants in Syd. We went there last Friday evening and it was rammed. The service staff were doing an amazing job despite being run off their feet. Atmosphere was great. The food was excellent (katsu curry, tempura veg, edamames). Definitely going to ...

Re: Kirkdale Village Late Night Shopping Event
Yes the signage is lovely.
Does anyone know if there are any plans to renovate the pavement in this area? The Dartmouth Road paving looks good, and once you get down to Sydenham station etc it also looks nice, but the Kirkdale area by Costcutter etc looks pretty scruffy now in comparison.

Re: Kirkdale Village Late Night Shopping Event
Sydenham Old High Street sounds nice. The only problem is that there's no street called 'Old High Street', so how would people know where it is? At least with 'Kirkdale' you can put it in googlemaps and you know vaguely where it is.

Re: Kirkdale Village Late Night Shopping Event
It's great that the traders are joining forces to offer this late night shopping event, and well done to Mabel for setting up the instagram and helping to build some momentum behind this unique part of Sydenham. Personally it doesn't bother me what the area is called - the main thing is having ...

Re: Costcutter on Kirkdale
Articles I've read have said that Costcutter franchisees would have the option of becoming Co-op stores, so maybe it'll re-open as a Co-op? It'd be a welcome change IMO, the current store looks shabby and run-down, and really brings down that row of shops..

Re: Costcutter on Kirkdale
Costcutter's supplier, Palmer & Harvey, went into administration last week. The Co-op have taken over supply. It could be related to this, though not sure exactly how.... Re: Wooster and stock
There's always demand for cake...crikey, is there really that much 'cake and coffee' demand on Kirkdale?
