Labourer wanted
Hi I've been searching and advertising in the obvious places but am having no luck finding a reliable person to measure doorframes, buy doors on my behalf and then hang those doors. So - my question is....can anyone recommend a RELIABLE local professional who can come to my house at an agreed time ...

Large public recycling bins?
Hi all Owing to the lack of waste collections this week, we have a huge amount of recyclable packaging and recyclable plastic cluttering up our kitchen. Does anyone know of a place where recyclable waste can be dumped for recycling in the local area? I vaguely recall there being some mention of bins ...

FREE IKEA SOFA
Hi all We no longer have need for our IKEA two-seater sofa which is well-loved but in good condition. It does have some light stains (I think a little spilt tea) so we have been using it with a throw over it. It's very comfy and certainly has a good few years life left in it. If you can collect from ...

Re: Moving to Sydenham
I've lived in Sydenham (Peak Hill Gardens) for just over 6 years now and I think it's a great place. My daughter has gone to school here and loves it. The high street is a bit rough round the edges mainly due to a few boarded up shops and what appear to be abandoned buildings but it's got a great ...

Hello all I'm looking for a local professional and reliable builder (or building company) who might be able to assist me with a pretty simple job. I'm looking for someone to knock through a bedroom wall in my house, into the adjacent airing cupboard, in order to convert the bedroom and airing ...

Laptop disposal
Hi all
Does anyone know if the computer-recycling thing still operates from Sydenham library? Failing that, anyone got any recommendations for how to dispose of three knackered old laptops?
Ta!

I've had three takeaways from Mamma Dough and it's been absolutely bangin every time. Also, I thought it was super-cheap especially for a fancy place? Bout 6 quid for a margherita? You can't argue with that!

Re: Payless, Sydenham
All I have noticed is that their bloody PayPoint machine for electricity top-up has been on the blink for months now!
They are well laid-back about it, whenever I ask if it's fixed. I admire their chilled-out approach to retailing.

Re: Lewisham nighttime economy consultation - have your say!
there's a big void where live music should be. Before anyone points this out I have indeed noticed the Golden Lion does live music, and St Barts hosts occasional classical concerts but that's not really the sort of thing i'm thinking of: I'm thinking of the singer-songwriter/jazz/soul/open-mic type ...

Lewisham planning website query

Re: Sainsbury's Bell Green
I see rats in the areas around Bell Green every time I'm down there, most predominantly in the patches of grass and foliage by the bus stops and around the big block of flats directly in front of the Sainsbury's car park. It's certainly been this way for a few years and am v. surprised nothing ...
