Re: One closure, one opening!
Ah Kenrick is lovely, he has a shop in Fulham and used to work in Bob wines (and loads of other wine merchants). One of the smiliest people I’ve ever met. Good luck to him and team.

Re: Resolution from Sydenham Local Assembly re: BGNF and Area
I have just read this thread and have no idea what any of it is about. No idea!
Did someone want to change boundaries and that has been refused?

Re: Postal deliveries
I am still waiting for letters from nov-dec and my kids’ comics and my magazines. I’ve got images of a whole sack arriving in the doorstep but I’m sure I’ll be disappointed

Re: Sydenham DO strike breaking
I have not had letters since late November/early December. Still get parcels. I went to sorting office today and there were no letters in the frame, which means it hasn’t been sorted yet. I’m in lower Sydenham.

Re: Mentally unwell person on the streets
I thought she lived somewhere with carers on Trewsbury road these days. I called police once recently as she seemed more desperate than usual , walking into road etc, but they can’t really do anything. Also not long ago she was actually run over and seen to by an ambulance. It’s very sad that she is ...

Re: OLSPN and the Sydenham Society
I find the new plans attractive. I think the Sydenham society realise that the plans offer a fair compromise. The Syd soc have taken the children and their parents into account when stating their position for the new plans. Removing all the windows and therefore asking children to decant elsewhere ...
Re: Mail
I’m in Sydenham and went to collect some letters from the FH sorting office. I got some recent letters but the stuff I’ve been waiting for since start of Dec had obviously not been sorted. Thursday is a long day opening 8-8 otherwise I’m not sure.

Re: Covid Vaccine - Third Booster Jab
I meant the ones you could pay for. I’m in my 30s and usually get one in touchwood, also last year. Usually just walk in and ask. This year they wouldn’t sell me one yet. I work with lots of little children who bring in all sorts so like to be jabbed. I’ve had flu once and it wasn’t fun!

Touchwood only offering flu jab to over 50s at the mo, or so I was told. I got mine at boots though

Re: What do you think about The Golden Lion?
I like the golden too as the staff are really friendly. However the selection of beer is dull and occasionally the pipes for the beer need better cleaning. I think the whole place should be cleaner, saw cobwebs etc. You can smell the toilet. The menu changes all the time and have had more off days ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
I think getting info to people in your group is better through email, text, calling or visiting them then. Not on lampposts! You already post leaflets to everyone individually, so I don’t see why you need to fly post.

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Jrw - I don’t see any evidence of JGD being offended. Whenever someone questions your activity you seem to consider it as an attack on you rather than your views. You can’t expect to go into this unchallenged.

Re: Home Park
Thank you for the info, I’ll send an email over. I know in most parks they have removed some swings to help distancing, but having none at all is strange Since there’s plenty of space. I’m surprised they haven’t fixed the little bridge on climbing frame as a few people have reported it and is ...
Home Park
Still no swings and the climbing frame for toddlers still broken. I have reported it to the council and Glendale soooo many times since playgrounds reopened. I get a ‘we’ll look into it’ response then nothing. Wondering if they have lost the swings or something???

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
I personally do not find JGD’s tone condescending. A swift response and resolution to this is very much needed for the children who go to the school. A long drawn out process means many children will not benefit from a lovely learning space. I have been to all meetings and know that drawing this out ...

No there seems to be an illegal massive party in fairlawn park. Illegal as it’s breaking COVID rules. Loads of people.
