Wooden Flooring company

Hi. I wonder if anyone can recommend a good reliable company that can lay some wooden flooring in our house following damage after a water pipe burst. Preferably I'm looking for a company that can give a free estimate. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Recommendation for a solicitor

Hi, I wonder if anyone could recommend a good solicitor local to either Sydenham, Beckenham or Crystal Palace.
My wife and I are looking to make a will and wanted to use a firm that was both friendly and reliable.

Any info greatly appreciated. :D

Can anyone recommend a good builder ?

I wonder if anyone knows of a good reliable builder/ building contractor local to the area who could check out and quote on some things that have been flagged up in a housing survey I've had done. I thought I'd ask on the forum as it's always good to go with someone that has been recommended. Any ...

Re: New street lights

Does anyone know when the lights are due to be finished in Newlands Park? The pavement has been closed off for nearly two months. Its annoying for anyone with a pram.

Despite being able to see the Crystal Palace Tower from my bedroom window, I'm still not able to get a good signal on any of the HD channels. Everytime a car goes by, the picture cuts out.

London Bridge Station Redevelopment

I was just looking through a leaflet today which detailed the 6 year developement of the London Bridge Station area. It states that from 2015-2016, Charing Cross services will not stop at London Bridge. Crikey!! :?

Re: Evading the fares at the station

On a slightly different note, has anyone else found a problem with the ink on season tickets fading quite quickly. I've got through 4 replacement season tickets that have simply faded. I'm wondering if it's a new kind of printer they use or else maybe the ticket machines are scraping the ink as the ...

Electrical Hifi Repairs

I was wondering if anyone out there can recommend someone locally that can fix Hifi equipment. My JVC amp that I've had for years has conked out but rather than throw it away for a new one, I'd like to get it repaired if possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Know anyone who can anyone fix an electric cooker?

I've just had a nice home made pizza cooked 50% by my oven which has decided to stop working :x

Does anyone out there have any recommendations for someone cheap and reliable that could fix
my Zanussi electric cooker? It's annoyingly out of warranty now.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Can you recommend an Estate Agent?!

Having had a valuation from a few of Sydenham's estate agents, I found than Mann were the most pushy and I really wouldn't want to deal with them on that basis. They seemed to want to tell me more about the success of their company than about how to sell my flat and I almost felt that they wouldn't ...

Any ideas on an easy lease extension?

I wonder if anyone in Sydenham knows about or has been through the process of extending a lease on a flat. I've been told that you can either top up the lease amount to 99 years (the freeholder comes up with the figure initially) or can serve a 'Section 42' notice where you are granted 99 years on ...

I'm in the Brockley Ukulele Group (BUG) that play the Amersham Arms in New Cross every second Sunday. We have in the past played at the Livesy Hall and I can reccomend it as a great venue with good stage. I'd be up for playing there again, or indeed the Dolphin. :D
