Re: TfL rules out regular London Overground trains to London Bridge
I think TfL have missed a great oppotunity here and should have picked up the spare capacity into East Croydon. The current end of the line at West Croydon is not very joined up when it comes to transport connections. Any one wanting to travel south via Gatwick have to change at Norwood Junction ...

Re: Heat Pump Noise on commercial property
I would speak to Lewisham's planning department about it. There are certain rules and regulations when it comes to installing heat pumps as well as acceptable noise levels. Normally between 40-60db which is the same as an air-conditioner system. The installers should follow the MGIS (MCS 020 ...

Mobile Car Mechanic - OBD2 Programmer
Hi!
Can anyone recommend a mobile car mechanic that can reprogram my car? It's a five minute job but I don't want to spend hundreds buying an OBD2 programmer just for one thing.
Thanks

Re: Water Pressure - Lawrie Park Road
It seems that Thames Water have been rezoning their supply system to try and reduce the leakage. It used to be 4bar and now it has been reduced to 1.8bar, which is still more than the minumum that OFWAT stipulate of 1bar to the property. I live in Hall Drive and have been complaining to Thames Water ...

Real Ale Drinkers
Hi Everyone! I have been talking to the owner of the Greyhound, Sydenham about beer and the beer they serve. He is very keen on developing the Real Ale side of things as this has been neglected over the past couple of years. So this is a call to all of you that enjoy a real ale severed from a hand ...

Re: FREE - Cream Leather Sofa and Chairs
Many thanks for those who PM'd me about it.
There is good news though, a church-based charity over in Streatham collected it yesterday evening. They provide furniture and other household items to families in need so it will go to a good home.
Thanks
Andy

FREE - Cream Leather Sofa and Chairs
We initially offered this to St.Christopher's but when they arrived to collect, they declined because it has wooden feet on show. Apparently if the leather went all the way to the floor then they would take it, strange! So, here we are now offering this free to anyone in Sydenham who would like it ...

Re: Dangerous e-scooters in Sydenham
To add to this argument, yesterday I was clonked on my left side by an electric scooter outside The Greyhound. Three lads were riding them on the pavement at speed and totally unaware of other pedestrians. The time was 6pm and therefore the light was poor, the pavement was crowded with people ...

Re: Sydenham Community Radio
I was thinking the same as I was involved at the start of the Sydenham Community Radio project. It really never got off the ground mainly due to funding I believe. It would be great to start one up again as I still have some contacts in the Community Broadcasting arena. The one main issue is finding ...

Hi All!
Does anyone know how to contact the furniture upholsterer at 291 Sydenham Road?
Everytime I go past it, it is closed and I have seen something in the window that I would like to enquire about.
Many Thanks

Re: Two Helicopters?
From my viewpoint they were both news gathering helicopters, the police one is blue with a yellow top and it has a twin tail fin. Also the police use a Eurocopter EC145 and these certainly didn't look like one of those.

Re: Ignition Brewey needs our help!
I do hope that our new pub, The Greyhound, which has just won a Time Out Local Award put some of their beer on tap.
I am sure it will be a seller providing they promote the ethos behind the brewery and the beer. I shall be donating to the crowdfunding project.

Re: Been to The Greyhound yet?
I agree that the Greyhound is still finding its feet. The new bay windows look good and bring in much more light. As for food, we've given up unless we book a table 6 months in advance (Easyjet style) and then to be prepared to wait for hours. What they should do is this, if the kitchen can easily ...
