Re: Anyone with Experience of Disputing Major Works Invoice from Lewisham Homes?
Have you tried discussing it with your local MP? I imagine some news channels like Metro or BBC or even social media may get it some attention.

I'm in the same camp. Had they also taken away the heating allowance for second homes of MP's I would have found it a bit more acceptable.angela53 wrote: 11 Sep 2024 09:09 MPs are claiming "second home" heating allowances with many of them having claimed thousands of pounds, including Rachel Reeves. Re: Local Train Services
Not to mention the 24/7 176 so there is never too late. It's quite speedy at night and a lot cheaper.
We generally go into town by rail and return by bus. It's a bit sad to see some of the audience scooting out early to catch their last train home.
We are just so lucky in Sydenham. Yes re ...

Re: Chaos at Crystal Palace Park Road roadworks
The sense of entitlement some people have that think their needs override anything else and park how and where they like really grinds my gears.
To add insult to injury with the 5 month roadworks, there is now a lane closed at the top of Anerley Hill towards Crystal Palace, so those coming up the ...

Re: No East Croydon/Sydenham/London Bridge rail service as of September?
I read this on Facebook last week. It's great the loop is back, but no service to East Croydon is ridiculous considering its the hub to Gatwick and the coast. Changing at Norwood Junction is not much of a hassle but its just another connection and another wait if you are going further on... Train to ...

Surely your not advocating another lockdown? I don't think the public have the appetite for that.
Sure, cases are high (although coming down) but this has not been replicated in deaths or hospital admissions.
I'm not advocating a lock down, but the relaxing of masks, the removal of free covid ...
