May I suggest you email Chloe and Will, Lib Dem councillors for Beckenham Town who pressured to get the weekday services restored.
They also can be seen in person at the Waitrose cafe on the first and third Saturdays in the month. 0930-1100.

I agree. Labour will win Beckenham for the first time ever I believe.
I was merely correcting the wrong statement above.

I'm not sure I agree - the Lib Dems have councillors in Beckenham Town and Labour doesn't.

Re: Southeastern trains to Lewisham, Cannon St ending
Well from nearby Beckenham, the local Lib Dem councillor Chloe has managed to save the Beck Junction to Blackfriars service. She's been campaigning on that since before she was elected this year and there was a petition.
Maybe you could do the same?

JGD said Ellie Reeves is a diligent constituency MP.
Responsive and has a significant "reach-out" capability constantly seeking constituents' views.
Totally agree. She's great.

Re: Police crack down on e-scooters
To give this issue some context, 24,000 a year killed or seriously injured on the roads as it is in the UK & it is (wrongly) accepted by society.
5 die every day.
If we are discussing escooter safety why aren’t we discussing & doing more about road safety? We seem blind to it.

Alywin commented "We always were part of the Beckenham constituency - until the last time the boundaries were changed. A dead cert Labour MP versus a dead cert Tory one - not much of a choice."

Re: Who's standing in the Sydenham by election in May?
One of the three councillors (Copley I think) stood down last year. So that's why there's a by-election in May, at the same time as the London Mayoral and GLA elections.
Our local elections are due in 2022.
Have a good day.

I wonder if it might be hoping to locate on the Sydenham end of Coper's Cope Road/Worsley Bridge Road where there's a closed Goals place?

Syd, as someone who used to drive home from work via that route for many years, it was often like that on a Friday. Slightly faster through Penge, but only a bit faster. So nothing new.

Looks very interesting, Tim. Does it cover the whole of Greater London, or just the old LCC? How many maps of Sydenham are there?

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic
Changes such as this were urged on councils by TFL as an emergency measure as part of the Covid-19 crisis response - see the original post for more information. There was no time for any consultation. There will be time later on, and we'll have the chance to give our views then.
