I first put a post on here in 2007 stating that it was a great shame that the name of this building had been changed. Now I am glad that the name was changed as I would not like the name of a good Police officer to be associated with this awful place. My sympathies go out to all who live in the area ...

If you have children there is plenty to keep them busy. The area is served by three Scout groups, after school activities and a good library. There are a couple of football teams for youngsters and Crystal Palace is not too far away.

The Beckenham recycling centre costs £3 for non Bromley residents. They have a machine that you purchase a ticket from and then you can use the recycling centre as many times as you want on that day. A lot cheaper and quicker than driving to the Lewisham one. It's about time Lewisham got another ...

So that's another bit of London's history down the pan........ the section house was named after a police officer who was killed on duty. Now the memory of this officer will be lost forever and we are left with a name that means nothing!

Diddn't see your collision, but when I passed through the junction motorists were taking extra caution. This is a huge problem across London when traffic lights go out of action. Contractors and not the Police are responsible for putting up warning signs and there are simply not enough Police to go ...
