Can anyone recommend a local roofer to replace three roof tiles missing on the roof of a maisonette along Kirkdale?
Many thanks

Large aquarium
I have a large aquarium full of various large cold water fish that needs a good home. Beautifully set up. Free to a good home. I can't deliver, so you must collect.

Re: Zanzibar Xmas Newsletter
OH NO!! After the miserable life we locals have had to endure over the past six months or so, the Zanzibar have applied to be allowed to serve alcohol from 1 am to 4 am on New Years Eve. It is hard to believe that the letter printed above eminates from the same gentleman who dismissed/disputed ...

Re: Zanzibar - Anyone else kept awake last night?
I was kept awake last night (Saturday), not because of the usual outrageous behaviour of some of the Zanzibar patrons on Friday/Saturday nights, but because of the anticipatory anxiety of what the night held in store again. I cautiously suspect I will not be the only one.

Re: Zanzibar Public Meeting: 14th August
Dear Chris Best, (ward councillor elected by the local residents of Sydenham) Respectfully, I would ask why you consider 2 am to be an appropriate closing time for the Zanzibar? Does this mean you support your local constituents being woken up at 2 am by the commotion, pandemonium and obnoxious ...

Re: Zanzibar motorcycle races on kirkdale
MrT , Re your post of 29 July:- Can you elaborate on the " few more ideas ... which will come into effect soon " (point 1 -antisocial behaviour). Where is the " enough legal spaces for customers to park " you mention? And why are your patrons not using them, rather than the pavements and private ...

Re: Zanzibar motorcycle races on kirkdale
* Odd that none of Lewisham's elected councillors have chosen to comment publicly on the Zanzibar topic. * Odd that urine streaming from men's exposed penises on a public highway is not classed as indecent, or even grossly indecent. * Odd that relocating the Zanzibar to a less residential area ...

Re: Zanzibar motorcycle races on kirkdale
I, too, called the police (101) last night regarding the quad bikes, motor cycles and general noise in Kirkdale around the Zanzibar Club area. They said they had received lots of calls regarding this, so it does beg the question why the racket went on for the best part of two hours. MrT, whilst ...

THIS IS AN EDITED VERSION (personal info removed) of the email I sent regarding the Zanzibar nightclub:- <I don't want to spoil young people's fun but ..... The weekend before last I had to call the police at approx 2 am because of intolerable noise from the Zanzibar revellers arriving/parking on ...

Re: Project Zanzibar–creating a venue that’s right for Syden
I, too, have been disturbed on Friday/Saturday nights by the Zanzibar revellers. Unable to put up with it any more, I have today sent emails of protestation to the four addresses given. I don't want to stop anyone having fun, but not at the expense of my quality of life, in particular a good night's ...

Re: Going over old ground - The Hound that is Grey
QUICK! Anyone genuinely interested in the alleyway alongside and behind the Greyhound - pop along now; it's full of smashed bottles, squashed cans and empty plastic bags. (There were no loiterers though). I remember as a child shopping in Cobbs Corner Department Store. I can't believe this tiny area ...

Re: Going over old ground - The Hound that is Grey
Purelake have very recently been fined £18000 for unauthorised demolition, and have agreed to re-build the Greyhound.
