Agreed with all of that Stuart.
There is another possibility and I should stress I have no knowledge of this. What if there is a police investigation but the target isn’t Nicola?

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Do we let it continue? Do we have a choice? Rachael may be right the only person who can stop it is CB himself. But is it possible to persuade him it is in his own interest? That's the really hard question.
Stuart
Agreed that this is the nub of the issue but I think there are always choices. I ...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Although I am disappointed that the SE23 mods (or at least the one that has responded so far) do not want to see my evidence, I can see their dilemma. If they follow this to its logical conclusion, it can only lead to the destruction of the forum itself.
You could well be right Rachael ...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
If evidence of Rachael's proposition is required, look at this
<QUOTE SNIPPED>
I agree with all of Rachaels' proposition and am well aware of plenty of CB's underhand activities. The evidence I was referring to was specifically to do with use of a sock puppet on the forum and whether presenting ...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
I don’t think the SE23 mods are making the right noises at all. They are talking about Chris taking a ‘break’. He’ll be back and nothing will have changed. Moreover, no one is addressing Michael’s post stating that CB has been banned from other forums for sock puppetry. CB’s claims that this is a ...

Re: Sockpuppets on t'other forum
Yes he is the owner and ultimate admin. Also a developer so will be capable of seeing data regardless of the forum software settings IMO. He is also, at the time of writing, still a member of the moderators group anyway.

Re: se23.com - an exile from the north speaks out
Yes, quite. It rather negates the page title claiming the site to be: "The Community Forum for Forest Hill and Honor Oak, London SE23". I think if you swopped the word Community for Sponsored it might work better.

Thanks will give that a whirl.
Have resorted to learning some of the cuisine myself, with some modest success, so perhaps have set the bar unreasonably high. It is still very comforting to have it made for you

Rachael, squashst,
Agreed with all of that. There has been a similar deleterious affect on some specific Honor Oak issues: the Old Bank springs to mind.
Rachael, which Chinese were you recommending?

Re: Javascript Error
Ok found it in Kaspersky settings>protection>Anti-spy>Anti-banner>settings>White List. Added http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com to this list.
This fixes it. Phew.

Thought I would report back in case this helps anyone else.
I noticed that an error was caused in Chrome also which appears in the Javascript console:

The illegal code was this:

Sorry, I thought I said cheese pie. This is literal translation of tiropita - those people do the best I have tasted outside of Greece.
Yes, don't want to big up the mag too much. There is one events page that is quite handy. I imagine it could be much more useful for people who don't go online ...

At the end of the day, it's his forum and he can run it how he likes.
Yes, clearly. So it isn't a Community Forum then as claimed. I had some contrbutions to some locally pertinent threads today which I am not even sure are going to appear or not. And if they do, they will probably appear out of ...

Clearly have been a very naughty boy indeed.
No PMs anywhere. It says that they have been disabled in my profile but I see nowhere on the control panel to reset this.

Whenever I click on a thread I get a Javascript error:

Am using IE9 (9.0.8112.16421) on Windows 7 64bit SP1. Any ideas?
