Re: Youths

Let just move on from Claudia and not get way laid from the topic.

I must add that I seen lots of kids outside the shop (not the drug dealing, but just hanging around on bikes) on Friday as well, wonder if the shop reported them as they certainly would be putting customers of from going into the ...

Re: WHAT IF no15: House of Linens

Such a shame, where am I going to get my lovely wool now?

You would think that the terms of the lease would be more acceptable in these times, the shop that Mike used to have, still stands empty. Surely it is better to have a shop in use than a shop standing empty?

Common sense?

Re: WHAT IF no15: House of Linens

Oh no, what a sad loss this will be, I just love this shop for all its lovely wool and bits and bobs. Fingers crossed they can find somewhere else in SE26. What about the shop they used to be in on the corner?

Re: The Old Snooker Hall

What about the old Prince Alfred pub at the bottom of the High Street, that would be a nice position?

'Will my son be next'?

Morning,

Has anyone read this yet, in today's Daily Mail, You magaizine?

Well done to that mother. This is just how I feel.

I also contacted the Police these last few weeks to ask what they were doing for our kids to ensure that they were safe. I am more afraid for my child, in Sydenham, than ...

Re: Road *!@!! works!

Well I am just so sorry for wasting the bus garages time. Oh my, maybe, just maybe that the sheer fright of nearly getting knocked down, whilst I was in the right and the bus was on totally the wrong side of the road, caused me to forget to take the bus number, how silly was I?

Oh well, just lets ...

Re: Road *!@!! works!

The bus garage could not help as I did not get the bus number so they could not confirm if the bus came from their garage, how silly is that.

Lets just wait for some one to get knocked down and then maybe action will be taken, sadly too late

Re: Road *!@!! works!

SGN,
I was nearly knocked down by a bus this morning as your traffic management at Kent House Road/Sydenham is so bad.

The traffic on Sydenham High Street in both directions are gridlocked as they have been for the last two weeks at least, causing the junction with Kent House Road to be blocked ...

Re: Costcutter on the high street

Well said Simon!

We should be celebrating that people are actually willing to come to Sydenham to set up a business, it may not be what we would like to see in Sydenham but at least a business is going to set up and its one less empty shop on the High Street.

Re: 2010 Sydenham grape harvest and winemaking

My friend and I attended the open day a couple of weeks ago and were shown the winery and were given a glass of wine to drink (not sure who it was who showed us around) which was very nice.

The vines that are growing amazed the kids.

Well worth a visit on the next open day.

Re: Help with nightmare neighbor

I think (but Im not sure) that if you have people living below you and you have a laminated floor that you have to make sure that its 'padded' so that the noise does not travel.

Re: Sydenham Farmer's Market...??

People seem to be opposed to it being held on a public road which would lead to a road closure and problems for residents. A school playground or the like seem the best bet.

Re: Sydenham Farmer's Market...??

Hi,

I have no idea how it works, but why not ask a school if you could 'hire' a playground once a month for the Market?

Re: Road *!@!! works!

SGN,

What on earth is going on?

For nearly the last week, traffic has been backed up on both sides from Bell Green to the top of Sydenham Road?

When is all this going to finish?
