Re: Plasterer Recommendation

Hi, would like to second the recommendation for John McCann who has just finished plastering a room (with an artex ceiling) for me. Friendly, punctual and cleared up - and did a really good job. Still on same number and still local (CP).

Re: Recommendation for fence repair company

Hi, I've used Shaun the Handyman https://www.shaunthehandyman.co.uk/ for fencing repairs in the past and no complains - very friendly. I think I originally got his details from this site.

Re: Conservation area query

I did the application myself - I don't think you need to hire anyone but I would recommend speaking to someone at the Council before completeing the forms about exactly what they need. The officers I spoke to were helpful but the forms really aren't aimed at this type of work so it can be difficult ...

Re: Conservation area query

Hi, I suspect I live in a similar flat (part of the Collingtree development) and replaced my windows last year. I was advised by the Council that I needed planning permission because the flat was part of a larger building in multiple occupation but not a single company that I had round to quote ...

Re: RIP DYLON FACTORY

This has prompted my first post having been watching the forum for some time. I don't know if there's anything we can do to save the building at this stage, but I have e mailed the Twentieth Century Society with details and I'll let you know if they reply.
