Re: Station Approach Square
Lewisham council does seem to have a complete aversion to street trees and planters, which is sad. I can't think of any street trees that have been planted locally for years. Now Bromley on the other hand.........

Re: How to avoid Tesco, Sydenham Road
If you don't like Tesco, don't go there - simple. For my own part, as someone who has lived in Sydenham for over ten years, and shops locally, Tesco is more than welcome. It'll improve one of the worst eyesores in the High st, rids us of the offending apostrophe, and even if it takes some trade from ...

Re: Lemon Tree
It's so sad to read such negative and incorrect comments about a business that could really benefit the area. I used to eat there when it was called Grama Masala, then Pistachio. The management are new, as are the staff. If you doubt this, go in and ask for Ray or Farhi, who previously worked there ...

As a local business, PW stands to gain if the High st becomes more attractive to shoppers and visitors. It should do its bit and stop defacing the area.

Re: Sydenham School major demolition and reconstruction
How can not investing in Sydenham and the education of it's youth not be a good thing? It's not as if the buildings proposed for demolition are historic or even remotely attractive. No wonder Sydenham is in the doldrums if such attitudes prevail here. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://sydenham ...

Re: The Greyhound Planning Application closing date Thursday
I'm sorry to say but I reckon the footprint of what's left of The Greyhound is too small to be viable as a pub. It'll end up as nothing more than a cafe or sandwich bar. Well done LBL!

Investment on this scale has got to be good for the area.

Re: Smartening up high street bid
If you'd been there on the night of the public vote, you'd see how flawed the process was. It boiled down to whichever group had the most supporters on the night got the funding. The youth groups turned out in force and voted for their own projects. While it was democratic to a point, the people who ...
