Re: Security guard attacked
Where I am Stuart it is shed break ins and oil nicking! I know where I'd rather be.
Having said that, I felt reasonably safe in Sydenham, but didn't think I would in later years.
It's more about the fear of crime than the actual crime level I think.

Re: Security guard attacked
More bad news: http://www.channel4.com/news/crime-violent-murder-lewisham-broadland-stephen-lawrence This does contrast with my recent trip to Southwold, a Sydenham sized town in Suffolk. The leading item on the previous month's crime rate was the theft of some hub caps. Washing had also been taken ...

Re: *Waves hello* with a question
Hi Phil and welcome, Although I no longer live in Sydenham, I was registered for at least 25 + years at the Sydenham Green health centre in Bell Green (by Sainsbury's ) I never used the one on the bridge but a friend of mine did, she said that the Doctor would be writing the prescription out before ...

Re: Care2Stay Homeshare
I thought what a great idea ( shame about ken) providing there is screening of both parties,an elderly neighbour of mine in Sydenham used to do a similar thing and enjoyed the company. People often share their homes with overseas students, so why not do this as well, I would if I were in the ...

Re: Threatening behaviour at Lower Sydenham Station parking
Fair enough Eagle, I can see what you mean and I must admit I was hoping for the CPZS when I lived in Sydenham, but it was a bit off putting when I thought maybe we still wouldn't get a parking space, and I'm always against the slippery slope of starting something that cost money nominal or not ...
