Re: Mayow Park tennis courts
They are being re-surfaced and according to Alona Sheridan on Facebook (Friends of Mayow Park) they should be finished in March.

I think, but don't quote me on this, that they are at 43 Sunderland Road - it's the end nearest the South Circ.

Re: Refuse Collection
That's interesting Robbie as they've always taken it in the bins before - or maybe it was lower down in the bin and they didn't notice it
But just looked at taking it to Landemann Way and it's 2 buses from Sydenham, and there doesn't seem to be a bus stop near the tip!

Re: Lidl shut
You may also like to know that the Co-op is already reducing stocks due to the change to Budgen, which I was told was happening on 5th or 9th July (forget the actual date!). So a bit of a shortage in supermarket type shopping in the high street at the moment.

Re: Refuse Collection
Since they have introduced the new garden waste scheme at £45 per year, they have refused to take garden waste in the dustbins - in fact, they actually removed it from my dustbin the other week. As I don't have a car to be able to take waste to the tip, it seems the only alternative is to pay the ...

Welcome to the area! You asked where the butchers was - it's called Billings and is opposite the Post Office in Sydenham Road.

Hi Rich and Naomi
I happened to see your posters this morning and was sorry to hear about Harvey. I'll keep an eye out in my area and try and call him from the garden when I get home, as that was where he was found last time - let's hope he turns up!

Re: Lower Sydenham station - safe to walk at night?
Hi there
I use Lower Sydenham in the dark, but I only walk along the road, not the footpath.
Personally I think it depends on what time you will be using it. If you get off a commuter train (and I count those as any arrival up to 8pm, others may feel differently) then you will find you have ...

Re: Stabbing on a train
The police described this incident as a "cut" which may perhaps explain why someone who does not have English as a first language described it as a "little" stabbing!
Maybe a little understanding might be in order.

On the 6th of April we will be introducing a deli range at Billings. Quality cheese, delicious olives and a large charcuterie selection. We cannot wait, very exciting!
This sounds fabulous and I will look forward to going in to see what is on offer!
