Re: 154-158 Sydenham Road
Despite the objections mentioned earlier in this thread, the planning committee approved the new bloc of 23 flats on the derelict shops at 86 Bell Green on Tuesday night.
Can you point me to a record of that please Growsydenham? I've looked at the application on the Lewisham planning site and it ...

Re: 2018 wish list
Yes that would be fine by me. The whole point of having orbital distributor (ie the South Circular) roads is so people don't rat run through residential areas. We built the orbital roads but we didn't get round to closing off the residential streets. Now we're playing catchup with the civilised ...

Re: Penge Homebase closing - or perhaps not?
I think you will find this is just a re-branding - Wesfarmers bought Homebase from Home Retail last year , its obviously taken a while to work the new name through the branches, although it might be interesting to see if the BBQ range improves.

Re: food waste collection
KPR - have you managed to not acknowledge that the council have moved to fortnightly black bin collection, and the next due date for Sydenham is the 17th? LBL are usually pretty hopeless, but i thought they did a god job in advertising this through the past few months

Re: What has Jim done
Jim got over 50% of the first past the post vote, so how could AV have altered things?
as I understand it , AV and PR are different approaches to try to solve the same problem, if you have PR , you have to have some different way of those "pooled" votes counting, which must inevitably lead to ...

would we still have had a Lewisham West and Penge constituency MP then? I thought for PR to work there had to be pooling of votes across nations or at least regions.

I understood they were not replacing the lights in Princethorpe for they were relatively new. I also much prefer the lights in Princethorpe anyway.

this seems to have drifted from Istanbul to PFC - I've never had any problems with PFC and chose it over the other similar store - not that i would think of it as high on my list of wine outlets

I'd second Raff's as a great venue, but if you decide on it , I'd book soon, especially if your party is large, as following the Trip Adviser episode last year he seems to be full every night.

Re: Commuting from Sydenham to London Bridge
Thanks everyone. This has made me feel better about things (despite the Southern situation).

Re: Co-operative Food store to rebrand as a Budgens store
wondering what everyone has made of Budgens after its first week - i used to use the Co-Op a couple of times a week for organic milk and crusty bread - my trip on Sunday highlighted Budgens sold neither. Anyone else found they are going there regularly with success?

Can anyone recommend a fitter for vinyl flooring in a small bathroom please? its not a large area, but a tricky shape and I think would benefit from an experts attention.

as to how Just Eat makes a living , i expect you are right , so that would explain why the restaurant is less interested in those customers than their own - lesson learned - i just wanted to try it out , its back to ringing direct for me
thanks for the input

Re: Newlands Park gas work
if you made it Bus only , where would the traffic that uses Newlands Park go? Cator/Trewsbury? Just making it bus only wont convince those car drivers to use the bus instead, however much anyone might wish.
