Anyone else remember the coal merchant, "Sawyer"s", right there at Bell Green. He used a horse and cart to deliver the coal in the 50s. The horse was called "Old Bill".

Old Ma Wandy had a little electrical appliance shop on Dartmouth Road, close to Kirkdale. The kids thought that she was a witch.
