In 1905 my great-great-grandparents were living at 56 Kilmorie Road!

My great-great-grandfather died there in 1907 and his widow remained in the house until her death in 1922.

Do you have any more information/photos of the road?

There is a contemporaneous photo of Devonshire Road at http://www.francisfrith.com/forest-hill/photos/devonshire-road-1898_42673/ which gives a flavour of the times. It's only round the corner.

While researching my family history, I discovered that my ancestor Robert PARTRIDGE was a greengrocer in Forest Hill from about 1870-1900. I think his shop might have been on Stanstead Road, moving to Sunderland Road by 1891.

Can anyone advise on how I can research this further? Are there local ...
