Hi there, I don't suppose anybody has any moving boxes we could borrow or have? We're moving house next weekend from Lower sydenham to penge and need as many boxes as we can get hold of.
Many thanks

Re: Amazing family friendly days out 1.5 hrs from se26
Can anybody recommend a nice beach to take the kids? Probably pushing it to get the drive less than 1.5 hours but there must be somewhere nice not too far away?
Thanks

Both my kids go to crystal day nursery and they love it there. Everyone I know with kids there has been very happy with the place.

Hi there, does anybody have any experience of this after school club? I'm having a huge dilemma about after school care. My daughter is going to start at Worsley Bridge Primary School in September and they don't have an on-site after school club which is very annoying. I'm not sure whether to use a ...

Thanks prijesh but Jews walk is too far away from us. Thanks Lee for your recommendation, actually that was my favourite when I looked around them all yesterday so your confirmation that you're happy with it has helped the decision. My son will be in the 2-3 room too so see you there!

nursery advice please - little cherubs, little elms and happ
Does any body have any experience of using little cherubs nursery? In lower sydenham. I'm looking for a new nursery for my two year old, closer to our new home. I'm also going to look at little elms and happy little bunny if anybody has any thoughts on those ones? Thanks!

Was it St Christopher's charity shop that wouldn't take it? They often refuse my donations on health and safety grounds but other charity shops always take my stuff. Just a thought!

Southend Park
I'm moving from near Alexandra Park to near Southend Park, does anything go on in Southend Park? Any tips on things to do with children around there?
I've also just spotted Beckenham Place Park, that looks brilliant on the map, what goes on there?
Thanks

Re: Pop-up eateries
Yes, that's a good point Eagle. Though it's not cheaper than an already-roasted chicken in the Co-op, but I am quite sure neither are free-range. It's silly - I'd never think about buying not-free-range eggs, yet when it comes to a take-away my morals seem to disappear. It's a shame it's not easier ...

I have discovered that the spicy rotisserie chicken at Mr Kebabish is fantatsic, and at £4.50 for a while chicken that's my family's friday nights sorted!

Re: List of drop-in playgroups in the area
Maria, and others, there is no need to use a clumsy thread for this sort of information because a very clever lady has made a brilliant website: http://se26kids.com/ it has everything you need to know about playgroups and what's on for kids in the area.
Enjoy!

Can anybody recommend any fitness classes?
I need to get fit! And i've just got a new job that wont have me finishing up work all night every night, so, what's fun/inexpensive/local in the area? Has to be evenings really, unless it has a creche! I'm on the Sydenham/Penge border so can do either.
Thanks!
