Re: Recommendations for Local Doctors
I totally agree.
Plus you never see the doctor on time, typically I've had to wait 20mins.

Recommendations for Local Doctors
Hi there, I've been at Well's Park since moving to Sydenham but have grown increasingly dissatisfied with their service. One of my gripes is that you can only book an appointment at 8am on the day you want to be seen, which leaves you hanging on the phone in the mad scramble that ensues. Are there ...

Re: Lewisham A&E closure threat: history repeated
Here are the details for tomorrow's demo http://www.savelewishamhospital.com/demo-26th-january-2013-information/ sorry if this is a re-post. Agree with HGTG analogy Tim. Another would be double speak, the NHS is safe with conservatives that's why we will be closing recently refurbished and well run ...

Re: Lewisham A&E closure threat: history repeated
The only MP who can really help is Jeremy Hunt.
I just hope he can be made to see reason, because these plans are completely bonkers.

Re: 3 wheelie bins at the end of Hall Drive
The CPZ's don't cover the whole bouough but they do cover pretty wide areas, for axample when I was living in Maida Vale I could drive to work in Marlybone and park and was still covered. This would be like me being able to park anywhere in sydenham and possibly parts of surrounding areas. In my ...

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
Eagle it's described here: The tory exchequor secretary David Gauke really did given the presentation http://www.aei-ideas.org/2012/09/uk-tax-reform-a-roadmap-for-the-us/ It only gives an outline on the link above but you can see what they are hinting at. A fuller account is given in Private Eye ...

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
Agreed I did not renew my contract and even told them why, I hope others do follow, but the politcal class in this country should not allow much less encourage such behaviour.

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
Tax evasion is not a seperate issue, it is because of tax evasion that the cuts are as big as they are? The amounts being evaded by the likes of Vodaphone are far greater than that needed to keep lewisham A&E open. Lewisham A&E is being sold to raise £17m which is just a rounding error nect to the ...

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
Great then we agree never thought it would happen
Do you also agree with the Tories current policy of shutting hospital wards whilst encouraging tax evasion by large multinationals is wrong.

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
That's incorrect Eagle it does not postpone the payments at all, it just another financing arrangement where fees (interest) is paid through the whole life of the project. It just happens to be very expensive way of doing things. The advantage for government is that they don't appear as part of the ...

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
Good then you are against the Tories current policy of not taxing multinationals and selling off school playfields and hospitals instead right? Oh and on the PPI, thing Michael Gove scrapped the last governments Future PFI program but has replaced it with a new program where schools are to be ...

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
Net net the amount of money going into the NHS is decreasing, that is why the majority of the modeical profession are against it. I agree that PPI was a disaster for the taxpayer, but why are the Toties are carrying on with similar public/private partnerships at a time when long term borrowing costs ...

Re: Lewisham A&E closure threat: history repeated
Lewisham A&E is to be closed for the sake of £17m, this is a drop in the ocean compared to the taxes that are being evaded by large copanies in the UK at present. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... m-tax.html http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 58782.html These missed taxes would ...

Re: The NHS as we knew it !
Eagle I am perfectly safe he's on record saying there would be no cuts to front line services: http://conservativehome.blogs.com/thetorydiary/2010/05/therell-be-no-cuts-to-frontline-services-under-a-tory-government-says-cameron.html The truth however was somewhat different. Further I believe that ...
