Re: The Great Race - Sydenham Arts Festival

Paul, I was deliberately going for a stylised rather than a natural look as I wanted to emphasise the surreal look of the characters and vehicles.

I can understand you not liking/wanting to use flash as its obtrusive to street photography. Are you still shooting with the x100?

Identity Fraud

Re: Digital SLR Cameras

Being a photographer I am biased, but I would go for a Nikon or Canon DSLR. If you like teaching yourself then there are loads of stuff online about all the features of an DSLR. Digital Photography School is a good one or try joining a Flickr group in a subject that you are interested. If you are ...

Re: SYDENHAM'S ROOM 102

Thought I would do great days out I have had in the area: 1. The Recycled House on Longton Grove. (If you haven't been, it really is an amazing place) 2. Self build house at Shaws Cottages, off Perry Rise. Saw this at the Architects Open House event some years ago. Friendly architect and his family ...

Filming on Kirkdale?

I was walking up Kirkdale on Tuesday night about 8.30pm and there was a big light (like the ones used by people filming) strapped to a lamp post lighting up the inside of one of the empty shops near the pharmacy at the top of Kirkdale. There were people inside the shop and on the pavement but I ...

Check out guerrillagardening.org
You can post where you want to do some urban planting and find other guerilla gardeners to help you.

It was on a BBC4 documentary about him that they said he lived in Sydenham. In fact the program started with shots of Sydenham train station. I wish I could find out more, but I guess as you say it was probably only for a short time.
