Bromley council are planning to replace some (but not all) of the Victorian street lights on my road with rather unsightly LED lights. I would like to at least try and prevent this, due ...

Re: estate agents to recommend: Pedder in Sydenham. We sold and bought through them and could not have been more impressed with their professionalism, efficiency and friendliness. Yes, we thought they overvalued our house because they suggested an asking price that exceeded all other agents ...

Re: POLICE APPEAL: Incident on Sydenham Park Road 11th March

Re: Childcare

We also used the First Steps Montessori nursery in Upland Road (East Dulwich) some years ago and were very impressed but waiting lists are long. If term-time only provision isn't an issue ...

Re: Primary Schools?
Unfortunately, I don't know how those stats are compiled. And we did not apply for a reception class place either, so maybe that makes a difference. But because you always have the opportunity to change once your child has started at a school, please try not to worry too much. And if your child did ...

Re: Primary Schools?
Hi Sue, they got in last year. Clearly, there is no guarantee and you may not get a place at the school of your choice straight away, but everyone we know who tried this route succeeded.

Re: Primary Schools?
Our kids (and many of our neighbours' on and around Venner Road) go to Eliot Bank. Don't give up if you don't get a place first time round. Waiting lists can be long but people move all the time and very often, those ranked above you won't take up their offer of a place once their child has started ...
