Re: Sydenham Post Office to close
Might be closer to your experience, KPR, but certainly not mine; their service (which I have often used over the past 9 years) has been consistently fast, efficient and competent. So, not "the truth" as you described it...

Re: Been to The Greyhound yet?
We've been three times since opening and have every intention of continuing to support them - because the food was always delicious, the atmosphere lively, and as for the service and the attention we received they were second to none.

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
Ahrrrg - I didn't make it and now hugely regretting it. But thank you Stuart for the great photos. Yes the menu is amazing - and they do brunch....how clever is that! The Greyhound, the Poodle Club, murals, a new Yoga Centre: only been here 7 years but I hardly recognize the place
Re: Mural?
reat work JMLF! Thank you for all your efforts in getting this off the ground. Excited to see the proposals and for the finished product, whatever it may look like! That's exactly how I feel; and we both intend to participate in the crowdfunding too - I just can't believe how much you have achieved ...

Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
I agree that it all looks wonderful, and can't wait to support it. The other day a kind builder let me have a quick look inside (again!) and the look of those tiles...blindingly beautiful are the words I'd use. if the food is not that good (which i doubt given the draft menu) I shall eat peanuts ...

So enthusiasm and persistence is definitely required to make this change. I hope Alan Hall becomes the next Mayor, he's a real 'can do' kinda guy and may make the changes required to turn Lewisham into a much greener borough.

Re: Recommend a local man and van?
Here briefly to also add my thanks for the recommendation of Earl Marshall - he is amazing! He came yesterday to help one of our daughters move in temporarily (together with her mountain of accumulated stuff), breezed in and out cheerfully, nothing was too much to ask or too heavy to carry - and ...

This happened to a neighbour down the road from us - I will email her and find out to came to get it. If there is a delay in giving you the information it will mean she got back late from work but I will let you know.

No it didn’t it, did it? And even Molly ( who has to be the laziest cat in the entire universe) kept sticking her nose out of the cat flat, obviously tempted by the wall to wall blue skies; not quite yet, she clearly decided – but the time to annoy squirrels, jump over flower borders and climb trees ...
