Re: Thinking of moving to Halifax Street but worried about c
halifax street is absolutely lovely. just avoid wells park road!!! especially when the youth facility opens, which will make anti-social behaviour even worse (is that possible) in the wells park area. you are tucked out of the way in halifax street, so will be fine.

Re: Sydenham gets its new community centre
my concerns and fears are not 'ridiculous' as you put it mr or mrs SFHYOUTHFORUM! you have absolutely no right to denigrate my comments in that way. it is clear that you care nothing in the slightest about my concerns. once such a youth centre appears in the next road to you and when your house ...

Re: Sydenham gets its new community centre
I should be delighted to 'enlighten' 'Robin orton' as to the basis for my comments, that is if he would like to 'enlighten' me first as to the closeness of his property to the proposed youth centre! Am I a NIMBY, oh dear, I guess I just might be, as most people reading this will also be, if they are ...

Lewisham council environmental services
At 0930 this morning I reported to the council that a three piece suite had been fly tipped near the top of dartmouth road. By 1045, the council had removed it! This is phenomenal service! Credit where credit is due, well done lewisham. [ Post made via Mobile Device ] http://sydenham.org.uk/mobile ...

Re: Sydenham gets its new community centre
Dreadful news! Mark my words, this will attract gang violence on the streets surrounding the centre and in the local park! The Peckham and deptford gangs will invade upper Sydenham and nothing will be the same again! Lucky you, if you live far enough away not to be directly affected, but if not ...

Re: handyman
savvy - THANKS for your quick response - i shall give him a whirl.
handyman
hello - i'm new on the forum and wonder whether anybody can recommend a general handyman, who will not rip me off and who is reliable. i need my guttering clearing, a new tap fixed in my kitchen, a roller blind put up and, as the last guy i got around to do some jobs for me put a curtain rail on ...

Re: Dartmouth Road?
hi there i live on dartmouth road (the sydenham end) and i find it absolutely fine. to be honest, i would avoid the sydenham itself. the high street is not a great place to be after the shops shut, if you're a woman on your own. i live smack bang in the middle of both sydenham and forest hill ...
