I would love a good Japanese resturant in the area.
And I echo the suggestion to locate it on Dartmouth road near the pools, for then you could attract custom from Forest Hill, Sydenham and maybe even Honor Oak Plus there are already a few destination pubs in the vacinity.

Not quite Sydenham I know...But I moved to Forest Hill from Notting hill two months ago.
The community spirit here is wonderful, there are plenty of nice parks, pubs and independent shops.
I'd highly recommend this neck of the woods to anyone north of the river.

My vote goes to number 7 and number 47.....both very different but equally strong and original.

I've always lived in the inner city but never in South East london so its all a bit of a mystery to me
and I'm anxious about making a mistake.
Are there any nice coffee shops or Health food shops in the area ...

I am thinking of buying a property on Dartmouth Road, however I noticed a post about Miriam
Lodge bail hostel and that put the frighteners on me.
How is the area? I am female and often finish work late at night (I'll be coming home often as late as 11pm in the winter months.
Advice please?
