Re: Day care nurseries in Sydenham - HELP!
Our little one goes to the Rose House Montessori in Vancouver Road and we couldn't be happier with it. They recently opened another pre-school in Sydenham (they use St Michael's church hall in Champion Crescent), although we haven't been to that one I imagine that it'll be equally good. It didn't ...

Re: Advice on finding a summer aupair
Hi Parkrunner, We'd only consider au-pairs with previous childcare experience, ideally Spanish speaking as we want our son to be able to speak Spanish (my 1st language) as well as English. Someone who is good with children is more important though. If you friend's student is still looking please ...

Advice on finding a summer aupair
Hi, Our little one will be off nursery for 7 weeks in the summer. He's only 3 and as far as we can tell there are no children groups he could go to as he's still to young. We're strongly considering getting an au pair to help us looking after him, but we haven't done this before and aren't sure ...

Re: Rebuild the Greyhound Pub Campaign #rebuildthegreyhound
gerispringer, The notes from the campaign meeting organized by the Sydenham Society say "The society has volunteers to manage a Twitter & Facebook campaign", I'm sure we'll hear from them soon :) In the mean time, can I suggest you leave a google review as mentioned above? The petition already has ...

Re: Anyone used a doula?
We had a postnatal doula. With all my family abroad and with my husband's family 6 hours away we found her support to be invaluable. I had an emergency C-section too which meant that mobility was an issue for a while. At one point she suggested I should go and see a lactation consultant, which is ...

Re: "so people build c--p.”
I thought there were rules against people from South American countries working here without a permit which should not have been granted for non skilled work. Hi, I'm not an expert in the area but I can tell you what my experience was as I'm from Latin America. When I applied for my work visa about ...

Done. How does that feel? I'm normally the one correcting your spelling . But what can I say? I'm a (very) late comer to the language. I'll always make the occasional mistake

I just thought it would be worth adding that she's CRB checked and that just before starting with us she took a first aid course.

Re: GREYHOUND WALL ART: A FEW DAYS LEFT TO SUBMIT YOUR IMAGE
Hi Mary, As far as I know it's not possible to produce a key like the one you're referring to (unless we do it manually), the software that helps us compile the mosaic takes all the images from the folder you specify in your computer and produces the basic image, this will need work to finesse it ...

Stolen Van this morning
Someone came into our house through the front door (it was closed but not locked) without us noticing this morning at about 10:30 am. They took the keys to our builder's van and stole it. I'm pretty sure they'll be as far away from the area as possible by now, but if you happen to see anything while ...

Theatre in Mayow Park today at 1 and 4pm
Just in case you didn't know, there is a free family friendly play schedule for today in Mayow Park.
"Coming to a beach near you". We saw them getting ready when we took our baby for a walk earlier today.
The show times are 1pm and 4pm.

Spanish speaking group for kids and parents in Sydenham?
Hola We have an almost 9 months old baby and since I'm from El Salvador we'd like him to be bilingual and expose him to Spanish as much as posible (Obviously exposing him to English won't be difficult  ). Does anyone know if there is a Spanish speaking group for kids and parents in Sydenham ...
