Re: Anybody seen a gritter?
Not a seen a one!
Also, the pathway up to Sydenham station from Silverdale could do with some grit as some of us still need to use and it is notoriously slippery  - have contacted Lewisham Council but it would appear nothing has been done...not gone over yet, but I fear it is only a matter ...

Re: Sydenham hall is no more
Hi Mosy
Such a shame in a way. I was hoping that there were bats living there, or some kind of flower/bug that was very rare!
Yes, Japanese knotweed is present...
Other than that, I am glad that it is a small development and as I understand for over the 50's/60's.

Re: Masks
14Monty - What I was actually trying to point out is that people within the BAME community are more likely to contract this nasty, vile virus and I was surprised that they were not wearing masks to protect themselves and their loved ones. Nothing racist about my comment whatsoever.

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic
RJM - that is great news. Even though I am a Silverdale resident (with absolutely no ties to the Thorpes or whatever councillor it is) currently enjoying the benefits the bollards are having (when they are left alone), I will definitely be supporting this aspect too for Mayow Road. After all, we are ...

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic
Glad to see the improvement already from my point of view. Only been this morning and I can see there are much less dust/pollution particles on my cooker - god knows what I have been breathing in all this time

Re: Consultation on Proposal to Close Silverdale/Bishopsthorpe Road to traffic
Received an email earlier from the Consultation people to say they are aware of this and permanent structures will be put in place next week to stop this.
Re: SCAMS
I've received numerous calls from an officer ??? (can never catch the name) saying that I owe HMRC money and that if I don't contact them by pressing/contacting them a warrant will be issued for my arrest. Needless to say I am still waiting...I never click on anything...if in doubt find an official ...
Re: Masks
Today, I had to make a journey which involves 4 buses (2 there/2 back). I duly purchased face masks for this having been told like the rest of us that this is now mandatory. I am extremely surprised and upset that the vast majority of who would be classed within "BAME" were NOT wearing face masks ...

Re: Notice of Silverdale traffic restriction from 29 Jul
You can look at streetbuilder/eastsydenham or sydenhameast (cannot remember which way round it is) - they are looking at ways to reduce traffic and/or traffic calming measures in this area - you can add comments too. Think there is a meeting in September. It is quite interesting. Well worth doing ...

Re: Credit where credit's due to Thames Water...
It was deemed an emergency. Thames Water started work on it yesterday morning. Left at about 3.30/4.00 p.m. and returned at 1.00 a.m. to fix the leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most rudely awoken from a nice sleep! Not impressed.

Central Heating Recommendation
Highly recommend Progas if you need a recommendation. Turned up when they said they would. Very prompt. Very tidy. And charged what they said they would. Have absolutely no hesitation in recommending.
