Not to sound too prosaic , but is anyone actually trying to facilitate their departure ?
I doubt it - we're all far too busy hanging around on internet forums, pushing our Daily Mail-esque soundbite-riddled brexiteer agendas and maligning the entirety of a region's people based on the actions ...

Re: Sydenham under a new flight path?
It's the flights to London City Airport that you are probably noticing.
Most of the time the wind comes from the west, so flights land and take off in a westerly direction, meaning you don't see or hear the City Airport arrivals around here. When, due to the prevailing wind, the airports are ...

A brilliant show. The cast were great with brilliant musical accompaniment and vocal performances. You won't forget Montmorency in a hurry.
Definitely worth going to see.

A quick blast with a can of black spray paint and hey presto - problem solved...Hissing Syd wrote:To my dismay this has now happened in Larkbere Road. Is there any way round it, or way to appeal against it? I truly do not want a water meter, and it is really annoying to have be forced into it.

Re: Noise issue in Newlands Park last night
The noise was coming from a flat in Homecroft Road, about a quarter of the way down on the east side. There's never been any issue or noise at either of the flats in the property before, so hopefully it's just a one-off. A bit odd to have such a party on a Tuesday night.

Re: Co-operative Food store to rebrand as a Budgens store
The Coop was much better before the refurbishment a few years ago. Since then the amount of stock had been gradually decreasing and I constantly found items that I'd regularly buy disappear from the shelves. The awful self-service checkouts didn't help matters. However, it was still a fairly decent ...

Re: crystal palace Race Track
Apologies, I uploaded the wrong photo here. The 1937 one of Scribban should have been an old photo that was taken looking up to South Tower Corner from The Alley, just north of Maxim Rise - where the modern day one was taken. The photo (which was saved from somewhere or other on t'internet many ...

Re: crystal palace Race Track
Here are a few 'then and now' photos I took of various parts of the circuit a couple of years ago - it's amazing how much of the circuit is still clearly visible. Old pictures are from the book Motor Racing at Crystal Palace, by Sam Collins .
