Having looked at the menu for El Ruedo on here yesterday, myself the wife and a friend decided to go for dinner there last night.

Does anyone know of a decent gardener type who can sort my hedge out? The thing is a bit of a monster and I'm fed up of doing it myself. Some of the houses on the Thorpes seem to have beautifully tapered hedges and mine looks very shabby (and about 8 foot high).

I've been in Sydenham just over 2 years but have yet to find a good Chinese restaurant or takeaway. For Indian/Bangladeshi I would definitely recommend Kafe La round the back of Forest Hill station (opposite Dawes for Doors) for eat in and takeaway.

Me & the wife decided to try the Honor Oak last night for a bit of variety. All I can say is the Dolphin has nothing to worry about.

Please think about Sydenham Road, then I won't have to walk under that stinking cesspit of a subway between Perry Vale and Dartmouth Road to get to your coffee shop.

You're not wrong. I lived in Maidstone until a couple of years ago, they decided to build a great big new shopping centre on the edge of town (even though they already have a giant indoor shopping centre which is half empty) and a main drag street of shops.

Fantastic news, and I'm also glad it's at the lower end of the high street, rather than up near the train station. I will do my best to spend as much money in there as I can and hope evryone else who has been waiting for a decent pub does too.
