Umm..i've been clobbered for a different reason.

Bought an annual rail/travelcard. Great savings plus goldcard savings. Still paper-ticket so bit slow at the barrier. Fustrating at times, but not the complete end of the world.

Had to go to zone 4 on underground and told cannot buy cheaper oyster ...

You were lucky. I was on the earlier train (about 4.05) it stopped at new cross gate then norwood juntion. a bunch of people had to get the train back to get to our various stops.

a train about just gone just before 4 broke down at or around brockley hence the problem.

bought an annual rail and travelcard today and was given a paper ticket. man said they dont do oyster. it just seems crazy that i have to use a paper ticket for a whole year, esp as i use the tube and bus, an the barriers have the oyster fuctions!!!

have seen foxes in far end of lower sydenham and outside the train station (!) but not anywhere near me. Then again, it may be the thin end of the wedge and they are roaming around chicken hunting in Sydenham.

Am thinking of getting an Eglu with two chickens. There doesn't seem to be any foxes near me so am reassured on that front. But there is a cat that keeps coming in to the garden and using it as a litter tray (grrrrr!!)
