Re: #RebuildTheGreyhound - pub to be rebuilt by April 2015?
That's brilliant news. I hope people are positive and welcome this business with open arms. I think their pubs look great - the right balance between being a pub and a trendy bar. Let's hope they can crack on with the refurbishment soon! The light is at the end of the tunnel! Yay!
Re: Budgens
I must admit that the handling of raw meat and coins at Billings drives me mad. I always pay by card in there because don't want change covered in meat. Why do they do it? So odd because it's basic hygiene to not handle money and then handle food. Hopefully they will see this thread and change their ...

Re: Good doctors in Sydenham?
Sydenham Green Group Practice are amazing. You can book online, call at 8am in the morning for an appointment or queue in the morning to ask for an appointment when they open at 8am. It is rare not to get an appointment. They are also great at giving emergency appointments when you explain the ...

Hi, I meant to get tickets but I was a bit slow off the mark. If anyone has a spare adult and one child ticket then I will happily buy them off you. Thanks!

South Circular magazine
What a great publication. There are so many passionate and talented people in Sydenham. I hope the events are supported by the community. Good luck to all involved.

Re: SEE3 Financial Accounts
Also, I've just read Chris Best's post from 12 Dec 'Don't miss Saturday'. Only 440 people read it vs. All the people who have read this thread. The list of things happening that day on the high street are impressive. It Indicates strong relationships/partnerships with highstreet traders to make our ...

Re: SEE3 Financial Accounts
After reading all this it sounds like people are having a go... And it seems personal. Why are On the hoof feeling the need to defend themselves because they saw the brilliant learning opportunities being offered and attended the free classes? They may be teachers pet but there is no need to ...

Re: VIBRANT* HIGH STREET
I think everyone is empowered to improve Sydenham - Lee has done things without permission from anyone e.g. What If/Billings. Tim has done is with his garden project. Melissa has done so through the Youth Forum. Joanne could do something but based on past comments she is only interested in peddling ...

Is there a charity/fundraising group for Mayow Park? Does anyone manage a programme of events that are held there? I'd be interested in getting involved.

Re: VIBRANT* HIGH STREET
I rarely post on here but I feel compelled to. My observations are that Lee's agenda is to get a flow of ideas to start something positive for the area. Joanne's agenda as usual is to tarnish SEE3 because she didn't win that tender years ago. Yawn. Joanne, I'm so sad you joined the forum again. I'm ...

Last week I popped in and someone was measuring up to move the counter. The lady behind the till said they were doing a refurb this weekend. Sounds great. I would have done it on a Mon/Tues rather then a busy weekend for ice creams though...

Just drove past Harbour 321 - this looks like a great addition to the highstreet. They have clearly invested in making it look nice. I cannot wait to taste the fish and chips!

Re: Why is there a lot of new graffiti on Sydenham High Stre
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I believe Jill Hub was a great success! I visited every Sat with my 3 year old niece. We had an amazing time at the Easter bonnet making workshop. Another time we saw some short plays. I bought many things in there. I understood that it was never supposed to be ...

Re: SEE3 News: Pop Up Shop Opening Sunday 172 Sydenham Rd
I finally had a day when I could browse the new shops. They are amazing but dangerous - I spent £120 in Gunpowder & Cherry Pie/Flash Trash! There was a craft workshop on while I was there - it looked fun. I think the SEE3 team are doing an amazing job - we're starting to get some interesting ...

Re: Why is there a lot of new graffiti on Sydenham High Stre
I love it - in a strange way it's adding some vibrancy to the high street. Also, it's getting people talking and might get passers by to view Sydenham as an interesting place to visit. I work in PR so that was my first thought when I saw it. It's clearly art not vandalism. Well done to the people ...
Re: Gutters
Hi, I used Sam's Gutters a few months ago. My gutter was leaking. The phone quote was £55. They guy came and fixed it and I was amazed the cost was the same as the quote. I thought they may charge more. The woman in the office was very nice when I booked.

Re: Review - Greyhound Pub Design Competition.
Hi, I read this forum frequently but don't often post. This thread made me feel a bit depressed about people who like to knock ideas but never have a good idea of their own. I think art is very subjective - everyone has an opinion and it's rare that 100% of people are united in their views. That's ...
