Robbery in Peak Hill Avenue

Hello
I thought I would let people know that we had a burglary on Friday (probably in the afternoon) at our downstairs flat in Peak Hill Avenue. The thieves stole camera equipment, electronics and documents and would have left our place with a large black suitcase on wheels. If you think you saw ...

Just a quick note to say thanks very much to Admin for the photo uploads and to Paul for his message - no worries, thanks for the clear-up.

Looking forward to seeing more photos on these pages - it's been great to see so many contributions.

All the best

Thanks for your comments Ronski!

Just noticed that one of my flickr pics (not even shot in this snowfall) is exactly the same crop and tone as one just posted by Paul Treacy on behalf of Mini Fox! Perhaps people would like to check out the similarity!

It's great seeing all the photos from the last two days - especially liked the station ones. I tried to upload two I'd taken from Sydenham Woods yesterday without luck, but have been photographing there on a regular basis. Have just started a Flickr page + will upload more soon - the link is here if ...

Hi there
I took a photo of the scrum today at 7pm. If someone is collecting the images ahead of Friday's meeting I will email it over - not sure how to load it into this reply.

I had somehow managed to miss the wells references to the Green Dragon in the earlier posts! I'm backing the dragon now.

I like the idea of a symbol being designed for Sydenham and can see that a dragon is a strong graphic shape that could be adapted easily, however I would have liked to see other options put forward in addition to the Greyhound. Both originate from historic pubs, but there were other historic ...

I commute into London Bridge from Sydenham every day now that the East London line has closed. It has seemed quite a lot busier in the mornings - used to be able to get a window seat and that hardly ever happens. Most Sydenham commuters seem to get seats, but by Honor Oak a lot of people are ...

The best local garden centre is Secret Garden in Crystal Palace (near Sainsbury's) - not sure they sell greenhouses though.

Four of us went along on the opening night between 8-9pm. We live really close by, so wanted to see what it was like and drop in for the free residents drink at the same time. I would agree with Nasaroc's description of the venue. We met the owner, who was very friendly and welcoming, though we also ...

Would just like to add that Brian has been a very good vet for our cat as well. He's ethical about treatment and very practical in his manner. He is now only working out of the Parish Lane surgery and they are no longer associated with the Lordship Lane vets. Hope this helps.

No Leaf I wasn't.

It's good to read about other people's impressions of the new Dolphin on this thread. I think it's a great addition to the High Street and we'll be going back again soon.

I visited the Dolphin this week and want to congratulate the owners on creating such a beautiful interior - it really is lovely and as other people have said, so good to be in a smoke-free environment.
The staff were very welcoming and my partner and I both tried the menu -the beef stew is to be ...

I thought I would post a positive message about the ELL which I use every day to get to my work in Hoxton. It's quicker than going to London Bridge and taking a bus, plus I avoid going into zone 1 so it's also cheaper. The carriages seem cleaner than the tube and being overground part of the way, it ...

Local NHS dentists

Hello
I was wondering if any members know of a good NHS dentist in Sydenham. We are nearest to the Bolney Court practice but would be interested to know of any recommendations.
Thanks for your help
