Hi ,
it might sound daft , but hey why not , it would satisfy my curiosity if nothing else , by the way , do the steps leading into it in the earlier photo still exist ?

Many Thanks , also for your patience

Hi Guys , it dawns on me that there are quite a few pictures of the South Water Tower Base but very few of the North after the towers' destruction , i take it that one is probably in one hell of a state after the way the tower was removed but I have only ever seen about two pictures of it all the ...

Crystal Palace Entrance

Hi Guys, it has just dawned on me looking through the latest posts that no one has any pictures of the main entrances , were there turn stiles , a booth for obtaining tickets ? what did they have there ? How was the North tower accessed ? Cheers Chelsey

Hi Tulse Hill Terry do you know if the other ones you just mentioned are still in existence , and if so their whereabouts . And does anyone know who actually bought the statues sold in 1957 and what became of them ? Many Thanks Chelsey

So it looks like the best part of the Aquarium was built over , such a shame some of the remaining parts of the Palace were just cleared away , as there is so little of the metal structure of the building left . But that is a great pic none the less.... Very Many Thanks Chelsey

Thank You , I shall certainly be placing my order for that as soon as it comes out ! I must admit i had always had a sneaking suspicion that the " i only told you to blow the bloody doors off " sequence was filmed at Crystal Palace because of the transmitter in the background Many Thanks Chelsey

So I have to ask . Is " The Pleasure Garden " the only feature to have been filmed at the Palace ? I believe that there was a Stanley Holloway film done there too , but again that is only what I have been told , and I don't know that its a fact . Many Thanks Again Chelsey

Cheers Konqi for that , please keep us informed if a DVD comes out , or anybody else for that matter , as I have just been informed that none other than John Le Mesurier from Dads Army is in it , not sure if that is true yet but maybe you can help me out again Many Thanks Chelsey
