[quote=broken_shaman post_id=191859 time=1610805969 user_id=5696] Managed into the ground and now residents suffer the consequences. I used to take my first born there for swimming lessons. Brilliant teacher left because of the mismanagement. They wouldn't run a class ...

Re: The Bridge

The fact that neither the Bridge, nor Bellingham sports centre can be brought up to COVID-19 compliant standards is quite revealing in itself. It shows that Bellingham ward has already been neglected long term, and its outdated infrastructure has not been upgraded. This suggests that Bellingham has ...

The shop sign looks very similar to a Mega Saver chain they have in Nebraska and Florida.

 I think you guys have done a brilliant job. Those lights were on for ages and the council did nothing about it. You have my full support. The climate crisis is more urgent than ever, coronavirus or no coronavirus. What’s urgent about it? Why do you care what happens to the world in thousands o ...

St Christopher’s Hospice comes under Bromley borough so wouldn’t be used in Lewisham’s stats despite it still being SE26.

Re: Activity in old Coop

Sorry but the threat from coronavirus has taken over from climate change The planet can look after itself hence inflicted this virus upon us which I predicted a year ago A lot of good will hopefully come out of this There are too many people trying to be "right on and hip" rather than sincere - all ...

The aspirant posh who can't afford Hall Lane or the Thorpes and so have to move further out to avoid us Lewisham riff-raff, you mean? Not sure anyone would rather Hall Lane or the Thorpes when they could have Keston, Langley and Farnborough Parks and not have the feeling they’re going to be stabbed ...

BP Kirkdale

Does anyone know what’s happened to the BP garage on Kirkdale? The lights on the signage are turned off, the shop is empty as if the bailiffs have been in and there’s an empty skip outside.

While it’s blantantly a franchise I’m surprised BP haven’t stepped in.

Re: Sydenham Post Office to close for refurbishment

If WHSmith didn’t have such a dowdy approach to retail they might have been a company with the foresight and ability to make a profit in that space. Downham, Bromley Rd Post Office has a Subway sandwich shop and an off licence! It is not operated by WH Smith. I know, that’s my point. They were sup ...

Oasis is already there, and has been for a long while now, it’s along the wall and before you get to the empty space in the corner. Also, ...

Re: Bakerloo Line Extension

You wont lose the Hayes line. The tube will run on the same tracks (making the extension easier than other options), and be more frequent. I am unsure where it would be diverted? The Hayes line is already at full capacity so adding some Bakerloo trains means losing some of the current services ...
