Using that I obtained 0.75 miles keeping to the paths nearest to the park's periphery.

The presenter certainly has the gift of the gab and it's certainly a good introduction. I'd recommend this to anyone who hadn't come across the CP before.
My only gripe is that he's neither accurate nor fair regarding John Logie Baird and that leaves one wondering why. Could it be that the presenter ...
