Re: Kelvin Grove

Have to agree with everything said by swetysteve above. My son started at Kelvin Grove in September and we couldn't be happier. We went to all the local primary schools and felt that Kelvin Grove had the best "feel" to it. The reception classes have a lovely atmosphere and all the kids seem really ...

Re: Mugging in Panmure Road

You may want to bear in mind that carrying mace/CS/pepper spray may make you feel safer, but will also risk you getting arrested - it is technically classed as a firearm

I've just spoken to BT (again), having gone through the numerous phone calls, engineer visit etc. I was told Wednesday evening that engineers were working on the problem and everything should be fine. Yesterday all was good. However this morning I have had the same problems with the internet ...

I saw this as well. I still can't quite believe the driver did what he did. I didn't get the bus registration either, but caught a look a the driver so will complain to them and give a brief description.
It really was staggeringly bad/dangerous driving

Thanks Paddy, should I ever need a washer or plug changing I now know who to ask. However I need the whole tap changing and no amount of nagging from Mrs_b is going to make our tap bear any relation to the one in my DIY book, or improve my ability to do it myself.

kitchen tap

Does anyone know someone who would be able to fit a kitchen tap for me? I'm not very good with DIY...
In fact a handyman in general would be useful if anyone knows of someone :D

Me too. I've been here for 10 years and somehow never made it to the golden lion. I've been to the 2 halves in it's various guises, the dolphin before and after the change, the railway, man of kent, prince albert and the greyhound more times than I can count, but for some reason have never been in ...

since this new cafe opened, all manner of clapham wannabes with their three-wheeled pushchairs have come out of the woodwork. i've never seen them in chef's delight, or even somerfields for that matter I don't really think this is fair to say. Surely bringing more people to the high street, those ...

I'll be sorry to see the end of The Greyhound having spent many a night there over the last 10 years, although none recently. To be honest the last few times I've been in there it's been aweful... I think one of the main problems is that a pub is a business and needs to be run as such. I seem to ...

I'm stuck at work and it looks like I'll miss the first night. Will have to make up for it in the next few weeks.
Hope it all goes well - for drinkers and staff.
I'll be in a dark blue suit wearing black specs and I've got dark hair

Lewisham residents must have a tip (New Cross?). The junk dumped in Lawrie Park Road seems to be increasing in both frequency and amount dumped.

The wall in Lawrie Park Road was knocked down by a guy in a Rav 4 who said he lost control. Managed to write off Mrs_b's car in the process...

stone-penge, I'm sorry to hear about your wife, and hope she is okay. I think the community police officers and PCSOs will help to improve things - if they are given a chance. If they are taken off their beat then I am glad people like nasaroc are writing to complain, instead of just moaning. Maybe ...

Lemonade, "Panda" cars are a bit misleading, the main difference is in driver classification. Drivers who have been trained can exceed the speed limit, contravene red lights, use blue lights and sirens, etc - if they can justify their actions. Drivers who have not been trained cannot. Knighton ...

We are about to move house and want a dishwasher. I know the kitchen has plumbing for a washing machine. Assuming there is none existing, how easy would it be to put in the necessary connections for the dishwasher?

The female toilets are one of the main reasons why we don't bother with the Greyhound. I keep trying the Greyhound in hope, but everytime I ...
