Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Hi Team
Long time no speak!
I have had it pointed out to me that the Southwark Diocese financial report for last year (2021) is overdue. I had a look on the public record and it is 12 days overdue in fact.
Does anyone know if that sort of thing is normal?
Cheers
BK

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
I think people here should stop giving' Big Kev' his daily bread.
What do they say about feeding pigeons and trolls?
Agreed.
Both in attitude and opinion, the poster's expressions and their tone are the only posts that seek to sow seeds of doubt.
We have seen this approach of endeavouring ...

Hi Stone-Penge
Apologies - I was just trying my best to clear up the confusion about which school was which; but have seen reference to “daily bread” which is the Lord’s Prayer ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Who are you referring to as not being part of your team?
Me :)
In an earlier post:
“At no stage have Stuart, JRW or I……” (from a post by JDG)
Has there been a bust up along the way….the others seem to think you are all on the same side.
Hope it’s all ok - please don’t fall out over this ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Hi Stuart and team
BTW we are not a team. You won't have to look far to see us hammers and tongs with each other. It's just the OLSPN debacle that has us independently speaking with one voice.
There may be a message there.
Stuart
Thanks very much Stuart - by “team” I was referring to ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Look at this Stuart and team! I told you it had caused confusion; although fully accept your explanation that it wasn’t a deliberate attempt to conflate it seems to have had that effect!
Stone-pence: just to confirm help with any confusion caused (and I’ve just been on this journey!) - they ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Speaking of the Lord's Prayer, has the Archdiocese finally accepted that the planning inspector has not forgiven their trespass yet?
Welcome stone-pence

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Thanks JGD - lots of opinions there and they sound heartfelt. Hope you feel better and get some closure and can move onto another project soon.
I’m still really confused though as to why you and Stuart thought the World Book Day thing was at this school; it’s a totally different school. I hope ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Stuart's synopsis is a precise narrative about the nature of the problem, its root cause and the sequence of events that led to this poor quality outcome.
But Big Kev - the issue from this portion of the thread is a comparison of the behaviours of one of the Archdiocese's principal officers ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Thanks Stuart - am Confused! Sorry - this is an actual photo and the other one was from a CGI image of what was approved at planning - is that right? [They look the same?]
Thanks
BK
No they are both images of what we have got directly fronting the road from Bell Green into Sydenham. You can ...

Is the photo you posted here a CGI image of the original planned build? Have to say it looks fanastic. What does the actual building look like?
Cheers now

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Oh hi Stuart.
Which school are you talking about ? I was commenting on the Fisher school and pointing out the content of the author’s work. I think there’s some confusion on your part, because the school with the building thing is different from the school with the problematic author? Sorry if ...

Hi again Stuart - hope it’s all going well. Best of my knowledge the building there is fine - although I’m not sure what bearing that has on the suitability of books and authors for minors (or vice versa ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Absolutely no worries - you have caused no angst - not here at least.
Angst - and the generation of it - has been a useful tool for officers of the Archdiocese in the many layers of dialogue in which they engage - whether that be with the LPA, the residents and businesses who are neighbours of ...

Good evening. Perhaps you can clarify what you mean when you say "This was aimed at Key Stage 3:" as in this extract from your post:
For readers who might want to know a little more before forming a view on this one, here's an extract from the author's work. For those not familiar it is a ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
Dear Big Kev,
I agree that it's really important to inform yourself before taking a position on things, so I checked it out. These are sentences lifted from a scene in school assembly, where Noah is being taunted by his classmates. The pupils are mocking him, under cover of the recitation of the ...

Re: St Philip Neri school: Archdiocese appeals planning enforcement order
For those of us who sat through the OLSPN PINS Planning Inquiry, it may have come as a surprise to observe the attitude of one of the Archdiocese's principal officers, Dr Simon Hughes, to the Inquiry and the Inspector herself. Some may have viewed his behaviour as edging towards being dismissive ...
