Sydenham Town Forum

I agree with fairlawnresident, Sydenham needs some good places to eat and we've always found the food at Trattoria to be superb. The pizzas are great as is the wine, and as we always used to have to drive to Crystal Palace to eat before, we welcome a nice local place to eat!

My partner and I went yesterday for their opening night and had the most amazing pizzas and homemade ciabatta. Decor was nice and the prices were great, so we're planning to go back soon, maybe for lunch with the kids, as we were told that children were very welcome.

I met the new owner the other day and he seems really nice and full of ideas. He says the restaurant is going to specialize in homemade, authentic pizzas (so no frozen bases like most high-street chains!) and I'm def looking forward to trying them out. Oh, and I know what you mean about the old Mona ...

I've just heard that the Montecassino restaurant on Sydenham High St is going to be re-opening as a new pizza/pasta place later in Sept. Thank heavens I say...It's about time we had somewhere to go for a good Four Seasons!
