I believe that 79 people took the time and trouble to write in and complain, I don’t imagine that there are many applications that receive that type of response and I imagine many many more if asked would not have wanted it. Good news for those of us who objected to this, Lewisham Council have refused the planning application for this.
Of course they will probably appeal the decision but hopefully that stance by the council will not change.

why is this a problem? Well I guess it all comes down to individual opinion on what you think is of benefit to the high street when a new premises is taken over. Can you imagine having an unmanned premises open 24hrs dedicated to this, a nightmare for residents living close by.
I really hope local people will see that this is of no real benefit to the high street and object strongly.
